Science and research in the social sciences encompass sociology, journalism, political science, psychology, etc. While research projects in these fields are primarily based around the Faculty of Social Sciences and the CERGE-EI Institute, many projects and teams are multidisciplinary and bring together experts from multiple faculties of CU – e.g. the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Humanities, the Center for Theoretical Study, and even the Faculty of Science (e.g. for projects focusing on geographical factors in tourism, recreation, leisure activities and lifestyle).

Social Sciences at VŠE are developed at the Faculty of International Relations. The conducted research projects focus on macroeconomic, microeconomic, political, security, and legal aspects of international relations in the context of sustainable development and consumption with an emphasis on CSR concepts.
