Academy of Performing Arts in Prague

In addition to artistic activity, scientific activity is another fundamental aspect of the mission of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, and AMU ranks among the leading research institutions in the Czech Republic and Europe in a range of fields.

Scientific activities have been developed in all three AMU faculties through individual, departmental and interdisciplinary projects.

Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague

An important point in the field of science and research at UMPRUM are theoretical studies at the Department of Theory and History of Art, and their results are presented mainly in publications. Our school focuses on results in science and research, mainly artistic, which are entered into the national register (the so-called RUV). In the framework of internal and external grants, it is possible to participate in the implementation of projects whose achievements are listed above. Research results at UMPRUM are protected by copyright. The ability for students to participate in research results is related to the specific studio and gives an understanding between the student and the workplace, the length of stay and impact of the results are crucial for UMPRUM.
