Msc.Tropical Farming Systems (Double Degree)

This programme is offered in a double degree form. The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (CZU, Czech Republic) and the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Hohenheim (UHOH, Germany) offer the unique opportunity for students to simultaneously receive two master's degrees in the area of „Agricultural Sciences and Farming Systems in the Tropics and Subtropics“ in only 2 years. The main objective of the Double Degree programme is to enable students to profit from the different backgrounds of teaching and research of the partner universities in the area of tropical agriculture. In addition to the existing single-degree programmes, the double degree shall offer an additional benefit for the students through:

an increased selection of modules offered on tropical agriculture, the acquirement of soft skills in different teaching environments as well as cultural backgrounds, performing scientific work under the supervision of two academics from two different universities.

Graduates are highly competitive in the international job market and find career opportunities in: International and national development organizations Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) Consultancies, universities, private enterprises International institutions International and national agricultural research centres

The program also provides students with excellent qualifications to commence doctoral research and to pursue an academic career.

Admission procedure: 1. Selection of applicants based on submitted documents (annotation (in English) of the Bachelor thesis (or similar written output), the results of previously completed studies (or at least results of the last finished year; in the form of a statement of results) and the experience and prerequisites for the study contained in the CV and the letter of motivation). Part of the 1st round is the Scio GAP online test in English focused on a general overview of the applicant - organized in cooperation with the Scio company.

1. Interview in English focused on the professional subject area according to the selected field of study.

Required documents: Successfully completed Bachelor (undergraduate) education, the certificate of which (either the original or its verified copy) will be required from the candidates when enrolling in their study, annotation of the Bachelor thesis (or similar written output), CV and a letter of motivation
