Ph.D.Wood Processing and Forest Machinery

Wood Processing and Machinery in Forest Management is a PhD branch of study focused on broad issues of technology-oriented scientific disciplines in the context of the research of wood properties, wooden structures, logging and transport technology and forestry building projects. According to their specialisation the graduates of the Wood Processing and Machinery in Forest Management PhD branch of study specialise in technically oriented research in these areas. In the course of their studies the graduates will receive a comprehensive overview of the issues being studied and other relations within the use of wood, forestry technology and building projects. They will use the acquired knowledge after graduation in their future career not only in scientific, but also in operation-oriented institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad. During the studies an emphasis is placed on detailed knowledge of new trends in technically oriented scientific disciplines. Besides passing of specialised exams and independent scientific work, publishing in renowned scientific journals is also a prerequisite for a successful course of study. Full-time students have the option of a study visit abroad for the period of at least one month.
