Graduate profile
The six-year study programme in General Medicine prepares graduates for the medical profession - the vast majority of graduates work in clinical medicine, while some find employment in research, teaching or medical management. The approach of the curriculum is integrated and problem-oriented - following the example of quality medical faculties in Western Europe, individual subjects are combined into larger units and from the first year strongly connected with medical practice. If, for example, students learn the anatomical structure of the heart, there is parallel teaching of cardiac function (within physiology), etc. From the first year onwards, students begin to interact and communicate with patients directly in hospitals, and continuous teaching of medical ethics is also part of the curriculum.
