Ph.D.Medical and Pharmaceutical Microbiology
Graduate profile
The graduates have gathered full knowledge in medical microbiology, molecular epidemiology, modern microbial diagnostics and anti-microbial pharmacotherapy. They acquire skills in the technologies and methods in the field and will be capable of their critical evaluation. Knowledge obtained is applied during experimental work in the microbiological laboratory or in studies focusing on the analysis of new antimicrobial drugs and molecular principles of bacterial resistance. The students become familiar with phenotypic and genotypic detection of microbes, including microbial genome analysis. They will be able to design a research project, present the results of his work, plan, write and defend research project. The graduates know, how to independently design and address research tasks, including managing small teams.
