Graduate profile

A graduate is trained to perform individual as well as collaborative scientific and pedagogical tasks. Has insight into geography, is able to apply theoretical and methodological approaches of natural and social sciences to propose solutions for complex problems. Is able to apply integrative approaches within problem-oriented interdisciplinary research. Through utilization of field and qualitative research methods, historical sources and geoinformation technologies, interprets landscape changes on various scales, in diverse periods, environmental and societal contexts; understands the nature of environmental and societal risks; develops synthesizing conclusions on transformations of landscapes and nature-society interactions. Is prepared to work in academic, decisive, commercial and non-profit sectors.
