Graduate profile

The doctoral study programme offers an advanced education in physical geography and geoecology. The study programme trains the graduates to understand, study, and interpret the interactions within and between different spheres of the natural environment. The graduates are able to analyse and synthesise data and knowledge about these segments of the natural environment, including the landscape and ecosystems component. The study programme equips the graduates with an in-depth knowledge of quantitative research methods, including field and laboratory procedures, numerical modelling, cartography, statistics and digital data analysis. The graduates are capable of independent research and leadership, as well as of collaboration across the fields of research, both at the domestic and international level. The employment perspectives for the grad
