The student is prepared to solve complex analytical, decision-making and implementation processes in the field of transport on logistics systems both at the current level of knowledge and at the prospects for development in the near and distant future. The orientation of the study program aims to deepen the student's theoretical knowledge for specific scientific work in solving scientific research tasks under the guidance of a supervisor. The study program is focused on scientific research and independent creative activity of doctoral students

Graduate profile

The absolvent gets deepened knowledge in applied mathematics and transportation logistics, enlarged with special knowledge in transport theory, transport technology, and modern logistic systems within study program framework. Within this study branch, the student completes his specialization with the help of subjects such as for Applications of IT technologies in transport, Geoinformation engineering, Management of transport systems, Road transport technologies, Information technologies in transport, Smart Cities, among others. The student will be prepared for solution of research-developing problems in the area of logistics. The students will work as researchers in the development of projects for everlasting improvement of controlling mechanisms in logistics. Immediate connection of logistic to economy and living environment prepares the students to be creators and propagators of innovative approaches of logistic solutions in all areas of human activity. The student will be a specialist for research and development of new approaches for modelling of logistic problems in controlling work of companies and business organizations, where one of the most important activities is the supply, transportation and marketing. The study includes simulation methods regardless of the transport distances, from the smallest to the largest and regardless of the transport times and again from the shortest to the long. The student will be prepared for the consistent use of multicriteria optimization methods with the use of artificial intelligence methods and their research and development will be one of the important contents of this study. The student will find employment in the creative solution of the issue related to the status and functions of transport in logistics systems at scientific and research workplaces and workplaces of universities. The student will also find employment as a highly qualified consultant in the design and implementation of transport, transportation and logistics systems for consulting and design companies.
