Ph.D.Construction Management and Engineering

The study program is focused on basic and applied research and independent creative activity in construction and civil engineering, in the areas of project management, supply systems, business management, construction, quality management, cost management in relation to life cycle costs (LCC) and building life cycle analysis (LCA), investment and financing of buildings, risk management, value analysis, energy management of buildings, mathematical models in construction and the application of information technology in the management of construction projects.
It is a managerial-technical program focusing on conceptual and strategic planning, preparation, implementation and operation of constructions. The study program is focused on basic types of construction works - civil engineering, civil engineering, traffic construction and ecological construction. The study program responds to current world developments in the field of construction management and implementation using software tools, especially Building Information Modeling (BIM).

The graduate of the doctoral study program will be equipped with a broad scientific and theoretical basis in the field of construction and management, allowing to take new positions, identify and formulate new scientific problems, propose optimal methods and solutions respecting sustainable development of the territory and society. It will be an expert who is able to pass on the knowledge and results of their own scientific work to the general professional public as well as to students of bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering. The graduate will be ready to find employment in pedagogical and scientific functions at universities and research institutes, as well as in the practical sphere in positions as a conceptual and development worker in important state institutions dealing with the preparation, implementation and control of large construction works.
