Ph.D.Architecture and Sustainable Development

The graduate of the doctoral study is a deeply erudite expert, with a comprehensive knowledge of architectural and structural creation, historical and theoretical roots of architecture and urbanism. He is also acquainted not only with contemporary but also historical structures (with the theory and technology of structures) and building materials, with the technological procedures of their security and will be ready to solve the tasks of regeneration and development of urban and rural areas. Unlike a master's degree graduate, he is equipped with an extended scientific and theoretical basis, enabling him to take new positions, create new methods and solve emerging problems in sustainable development, all with regard to the environmental consequences of urban and rural development. He is ready to find employment primarily as a conceptual worker in important institutions dealing with the development of settlements, their regeneration and renewal, including the creation of the landscape concept, as well as in management and decision-making positions of state administration bodies, pedagogical and scientific functions at universities and research institutes.
