Ph.D.Aeronautical and Space Engineering
The doctoral study program Aeronautical and Space Engineering is focused on avionics, navigation systems and communication systems for aerospace, terrestrial and space applications, control and planning systems, research and development of relevant circuits and systems as well as their integration into aerospace and non-destructive testing and monitoring of aerospace equipment. The study program also deals with the issue of system reliability, design and testing of reliable and radiation-resistant circuits and equipment, and standardization in aerospace. The study will also cover applications of aerospace systems in the field of radiocommunications, radio navigation, remote sensing, materials and biological research connected with Earth and space.
The goal of the study program is to teach students the methods of scientific work, to provide opportunities for gaining experience in solving research projects and transferring the results into practice and provide them with expert knowledge at the state-of-the-art level.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the doctoral study program in Aeronautical and Space Engineering will demonstrate an appropriate range of mathematical and physical knowledge, knowledge in the development and testing of electrical and electronic circuits, and knowledge of aerospace systems, equipment and devices. Graduates are able to design and develop innovative instruments, including data processing methods, equipment and systems for aerospace applications, design, organize and implement experiments in aerospace, work independently, formulate and verify research hypotheses and present the results of their work in an international environment. Graduates apply their knowledge in strategic and leading positions in aerospace industry, in positions in research and development laboratories in aerospace, in academia and in other institutions dealing with science, research and the innovation in the field of aerospace technology.
