Ph.D.Mathematical Engineering
The mission of the doctoral study program Mathematical Engineering is to prepare students for independent scientific activity in various areas of mathematics, such as functional analysis, category theory, algebra, probability and statistics. The study is focused on the preparation of highly mathematically erudite experts in technical, economic and scientific fields.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the doctoral study program Mathematical Engineering are highly qualified scientific experts with deep knowledge in the field of mathematics and its applications, which are on the verge of the current state of knowledge. They will be able to push these boundaries further in a creative way and apply their knowledge beyond mathematics and will be ready to pass on their experience and knowledge to professionals as well as the public and present their activities to educational, research and commercial institutions.
All graduates of the doctoral study program Mathematical Engineering are equipped with the following competencies:
- General knowledge in mathematics and its application.
- Deep knowledge of the current state of knowledge in the field of mathematics according to the selected specialization.
- Abilities to apply mathematical knowledge in other fields according to their focus (especially in quantum theory, computer science, computer recognition and vision, robotics, etc.).
- Ability of deep analytical and critical thinking.
- Ability to solve difficult problems independently.
- Collaborate with experts at the national and international levels.
- Ability to conduct world-class research.
- Ability to publish in high-rated international journals and present their results at prestigious international conferences and seminars.
- Use their professional knowledge in pedagogical practice.
- Share their knowledge with the professional community.
Graduates can build their careers as academic workers at universities all over the world as well as at research institutions. They can also work as researchers and members of expert teams in the public and private sectors.
