Msc.Intelligent Transport Systems

Intelligent transport systems are the future of transportation. These systems already help achieve more efficient use of roads and increase transport safety and reliability while reducing driving times and impacting the environment. The constant development of intelligent transport systems, their integration into existing systems or larger units brings a greater demand for experts who will design, create, manage and assess these systems. Intelligent Transport Systems is a 2-year full-time dual degree masters' program focused on connecting theory with practice, and as such, students use vehicle simulators and research laboratories such as Laboratory of Telematics, Joint Laboratory of System Reliability, and Laboratory of Traffic Control and Modelling. The practice part is not only held in the laboratories, but there is a cooperation with the Intelligent Transport Systems and Services of the Czech Republic association, with the Czech Academy of Sciences, and other organizations from a commercial sphere. Because it is a dual degree program, we cooperate with the Linköping University in Sweden.

Graduates have strong theoretical knowledge of intelligent transport systems and their expected trends, as well as practical knowledge of ITS projects. Graduates are able to design telematics systems and evaluate their effectiveness, measure systems' parameters, monitor their benefits for different users, and manage the integration of vehicle systems and their incorporation into advanced ITS systems. Graduates are highly demanded experts in telematics, big data, working for communications, insurance, car industry, and many more. Telematics connects many areas, and thus it is the future of transportation.
