Prague as a centre of international education during Europe Regional Institute 2025

The Study in Prague Consortium hosted the Europe Regional Institute of the International Association for College Admission Counseling (International ACAC) from May 22 to 24, 2025.

The event brought together more than 200 high school counsellors and university representatives from 45 countries, who spent several days exploring the academic landscape of Prague and the Czech Republic. Over the course of three days, the conference featured 25 expert sessions and panels, distinguished guest speakers, and networking opportunities.

The event culminated in the International Study Fair, held on Saturday, May 24, at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE). The fair welcomed over 350 public visitors and featured 72 universities from Europe, North America, and Asia, including Cambridge University, Boston University, St. Andrews University, and Leiden University. The Czech universities present received hundreds of requests for information about English-taught programmes.

Prior to the conference, the Study in Prague Consortium organised on-site university visits. During these, 60 counsellors toured six institutions over two days. This experience showcased more than 50 undergraduate programmes taught in English and offered insights into student life, academic support, and international opportunities. The participating counsellors have already started sharing their notes and slides with their own networks of hundreds of other counsellors in their respective regions.

To create a broader picture of higher education across the country, a Bus Tour of Moravian universities was organised by Study in Czechia earlier in the week.
