Preparatory and Language Courses
While all courses taught in English are subject to tuition fees, courses taught in Czech are not. As proficient knowledge of the Czech language is a necessary prerequisite (part of the entrance exam) to be accepted into a Czech course, universities offer preparatory courses in Czech.
In most cases the preparatory course will, in addition to lessons in Czech, include subjects aimed at increasing your chance of passing the admission exam. It is recommended that students take a language course at the university at which they plan to study. Firstly, it may give them an edge when taking the entrance exam, and secondly, the vocabulary will be much more specific for their respective field of study.
