The Extraordinary Scholarship of Prof. Miroslav Vlček has its 2025 awardees

On 4 December 2025, the Study in Prague consortium proudly awarded the Extraordinary Scholarship of Prof. Miroslav Vlček to six remarkable international students!

Each year, this scholarship honours international students who actively contribute to the international community, promote the reputation of their university both in the Czech Republic and abroad, and excel beyond their academic responsibilities. The award provides financial support as a gesture of appreciation for their exceptional engagement and achievements.

Prof. Miroslav Vlček was the initiator of the idea to establish cooperation among Prague’s public universities in the field of international relations and in promoting English-taught programmes, laying the foundation for what later became the Study in Prague consortium.

The keynote speaker, Czech economist and philosopher Tomáš Sedláček, shared his reflections on studying abroad and the challenges of building a life in a new country. He highlighted the courage of international students and the importance of globalisation in today’s interconnected world.
