Ph.D.Exploitation and Conservation of Natural Resources
The programme is focused on carrying research in the field of soil science, soil conservation and protection, environmental pollution and contamination, waste management and utilization, hydrology, hydrogeology, protection of ground and surface waters, remediation, reclamation, air pollution, environmental sciences, cycles of substances in the environment, etc. Research topics include both basic research of natural processes and applied research in the field of agriculture, forestry and natural resources conservation. The research usually consists of a unique combination of field survey and sampling, laboratory analysis using up-to date laboratory equipment, and data processing, including advanced statistics, spatial analysis and mathematical modelling. Students participate on various research projects and have wide options to spend a part of their study in leading laboratories abroad.
