Msc.Forest Science in Global Change
Forest Science in Global Change is a two-year master's degree programme taught in English and is primarily intended for bachelor's degree graduates of a forestry, biological, environmental, or similar programme. The aim of the study programme is to educate graduates with an international outlook and the ability to succeed on the European and global scale and to deal with current issues of forestry innovatively and flexibly at a time of ongoing global change. Emphasis is placed on the interconnectedness of knowledge, which is why the study connects innovative forestry disciplines with modern technologies and related fields. The main goal is for students to acquire the knowledge needed to develop a modern forestry concept based on the adaptation of forests and forestry to increase the resilience of forests with regard to the escalating intensity of disturbances (drought, fires, wind). In addition, the study focuses on management principles that support all forest functions and ecosystem services in the context of forest bioeconomy. During the course of study, students can also focus more deeply on one of the three thematic areas by studying at a foreign university.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the Forest Science in Global Change master's programme will receive the academic title of Ing. With that, they will obtain comprehensive knowledge in the field of management and protection of forest ecosystems, which is based on the study of disciplines related to woody plants and forest ecosystems in the context of the environment in which they develop. Graduates also demonstrate knowledge of technical and economic disciplines. They can apply for one of the doctoral study programmes.

Admission requirements
Admission procedure: An interview in English on the topic of Forestry
Required documents: Successfully completed Bachelor (undergraduate) education, the certificate of which (either the original or its verified copy) will be required from the candidates when enrolling in their study. If the Bachelor education has been completed abroad, it is necessary to submit a Decision of Nostrification.
