Ph.D.Dentistry, Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery
Graduate profile
Professional topics for study are drawn from the entire spectrum of all subfields and specializations of dentistry, otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery, in their full breadth. In addition to anatomical localization and close cooperation, the combination of these fields within one study program is also based on the definition of the general medical term "head and neck surgery" including as the majority surgical specialties: otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, which is also part of the scientific field of dentistry. The issue of reconstructive surgery of the head and neck is also a subject of interest. It is thus a logically integrated study program containing cooperating medical and scientific disciplines, which thus meets the current requirements for a multidisciplinary concept of medical practice supported by scientific and research activities. The goal of the study program is to deepen the knowledge of doctoral students in the relevant fields and to educate them for independent scientific and research activities with the ability to critically assess the results achieved and to ensure the further development of fields in the given anatomical area.
