The study field is focused on university degree education of experts for upper-level management posts in the domain of civil aviation, with an emphasis on Czech and European environment. Study content follows bachelor studies (especially study field Air Transport) and it is in line with qualification requirements united for EU member states and laid down by standards from International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO, European Aviation Safety Agency EASA and other EU institutions. Knowledge and skills acquired during bachelor studies are deepened by theory-based and transportation technology-oriented subjects (both faculty-wide). Specific courses are focused on operational technology whose aim is to extend aviation domain knowledge. Additional specialization is provided in form of dedicated projects and project-related courses. Altogether, the study field consists of theoretical, preparatory, transportation technology, humanistic and domain specific courses. It is focused on robust acquisition of civil aviation domain knowledge, familiarization with aviation operational aspects, especially with regard to commercial air transport, flight safety and security, quality, communication, navigation, surveillance, air traffic control and aircraft maintenance. Graduates acquire theoretical knowledge corresponding to master?s studies in the field of transportation.

Graduate profile

Graduates are well oriented in operations and economics of air transport and have all the necessary theoretical knowledge for further development in the domain. They find employment in various leading operational, technical and economical functions in aviation. They are able to hold responsible positions at middle and upper management positions at airlines, international airports, air navigation service providers and various oversight functions at civil aviation authorities and other civil aviation regulatory bodies. Due to versatility and robustness of the study field, graduates can find their employment in Europe and world-wide as aviation domain experts.
