Msc.Transportation, Aerospace and Handling Technology

Czech Technical University in Prague - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
Studies in the field of transport, aircraft and transport technology aims at preparing highly qualified specialists for the development and design of all machines, particularly in transport, aviation, transport and manufacturing machines and mechatronic systems. Graduates are able to creatively generate concepts and detailed engineering design and documentation of the proposed machines and systems. They have the knowledge of advanced body mechanics, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, elasticity, strength, durability and reliability of the machine equipment, automatic control of mechanical systems. Control the processes of design methodologies and methods supporting creativity engineer. They are able to analyze and specify the design problem, concepts creatively propose solutions to perform detailed design and optimal sizing of equipment or machinery, determine the durability and reliability. Master methods and means of engineering experimental testing of machines and structures. For admission to the study program are required knowledge of theoretical and preparatory courses bachelor degree program CTU "Theoretical basics of mechanical engineering", in all other cases, it required the successful completion of a bachelor's degree entrance examination.

Graduate profile

The general theoretical basis of previous Bachelor program is application developed in various areas of study: the theory of combustion engines, motor theory or rolling stock, transport, construction and agricultural machines, the theory of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, static and dynamic strength and durability. These theoretical foundations of the field serve as the basis for managing engineering simulation and experimental research and development, with examples of which are graduates acquainted in the laboratory and design classes. Within construction projects and theses, students collaborate on topics of your input production enterprises and participate in projects of real vehicles, aircraft structures and components. Graduates can work as a research and development staff, chief engineers and designers and test engineers leader in the field of road, rail and off-road vehicles in the area of transport, construction and agricultural machinery, in the field of aircraft, structures and air traffic and in piston combustion engine vehicle , ship, aircraft and energy and aviation turbine engines. At the same time they receive a very good basis for doctoral studies in fields related to technical mechanics, thermodynamics, machine construction with modern aviation technology
