The graduate of the PhD study branch Physics of nanostructures will be competent in the field of physical properties of various types of low-dimensional structures in semiconductor, metallic, and dielectric materials, as well as biological nanostructures. According to the subject of the PhD thesis, he/she will be an expert in the preparation and growth of various types of nanostructures and in the application of physical methods for their characterization and diagnostics. The graduates can practice in basic physical, chemical or bio-physical research, in an applied material research (new metallic, semiconductor and dielectric materials), in sensorics, in the catalysis research, nanofluidics, in the research of micro- and nanomechanic systems, as well as in industrial nanotechnology.
