Computational mathematics involves mathematical research in areas of science where computing plays a central and essential role, emphasizing algorithms and numerical methods.
The field is related to mathematical modelling namely, it procures a correct problem approximation and numerical solution on a computer. Therefore, computational mathematics has broad practical applications in natural and technological sciences, and also in economics, banking, medicine, etc.

The curriculum provides thorough know-how on both numerical and applied mathematics, and also programming skills in computer modelling, simulation and control.

Prospective employment: Fundamental and applied research, academic career, industry, economics.
