This graduate is well-prepared for creative scientific work in a team or as an individual. He/she has a broad understanding of regional and political geography in general, and of his/her specialisation (knowledge of theories and concepts, methodological approaches including GIS). The graduate is capable of comprehensively analysing and evaluating changing interactions between social and natural components of the geographical environment, and solving problems at local, regional, national and global levels (e.g. analysis of regional socio-economic, socio-cultural and political systems, settlement systems, public administration operations, European integration, globalization, international relations or tourism). He/she is active in academic research and policy-making (municipal, regional or national administration, EU institutions, etc.).
