A graduate of the PhD program in inorganic chemistry obtains detailed knowledge in the fields of solid-state chemistry, chemistry of materials, coordination chemistry, and bioinorganic chemistry, in accordance with his/her scientific focus. An integral part of this specialization is the orientation on current methods, such as X-ray diffraction, NMR, molecular spectroscopy, electrochemical methods and UV-VIS spectroscopy. During experimental work, the student gains experience in the field of chemical synthesis and obtains needed know-how. On the basis of the curriculum offered, a graduate is able to solve scientific problems of both pure and applied inorganic chemistry, as well as related areas arising from the creative development of his/her research.
