4-year programme focused on reactor physics (theoretical, experimental, as well as reactor core physics), nuclear safety, applied nuclear physics, nuclear power engineering (including radioactive waste management) and its influence on the environment, experimental nuclear physics, high energy physics, physics of relativistic heavy ions, dosimetry of ionizing radiation, application of ionizing radiation, nuclear methods in the environment and radiation physics
PhD study significantly deepens the education gained during Master study in advanced and specialized disciplines. The common part of the graduate's profile entails working knowledge of some broad area of modern mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. advanced functional analysis, nonlinear partial differential equations, quantum optics, solid state physics, nuclear chemistry) as well as some particular field of its application (e.g. lasers, particle physics, material science, modern methods of computer science, environmental protection). This common background is further specialized in collaboration with thesis advisors towards the individual needs of the students based on the thematic areas of their doctoral theses.
