Study Biomechanics respectively. Biomedical and Rehabilitation Engineering is focused on training of theoretically knowledgeable experts in the field of Biomechanics (musculoskeletal and cardiovascular system), and on training designers of medical apparatuses, replacements of organs, rehabilitation aids and equipment for social pediatrics. Furthermore, on training specialists for the operation of devices in medical institutions guaranteeing their technical and security parameters and performing measurement analysis. Study builds on the Bachelor of objects of type A. It extends and deepens the knowledge gained here with an emphasis on the aforementioned issues. Branch itself together with Applied Mechanics and Mathematical Modelling in Engineering part of an integrated study program Applied Sciences, which was created as a response to declining demographic curve, and where it will be possible to obtain similar knowledge and skills in smaller numbers of students, especially the massive use of project teaching in all the participating branches.
Combination studies of technical and medical disciplines creates a very interesting and desired graduate profile. Graduates are able to creatively apply the knowledge of theoretical mechanics, elasticity theory, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mathematical modeling and biomechanics, both in development and research as well as practical implementation of procedures. Due to the structure of completed courses can be incorporated directly into graduate medical teams, because they will generally be able to understand the medical problems and communicate effectively with doctors on solving common problems among other reasons, because they are acquainted with the function of diagnostic and therapeutic departments in hospitals. Graduates may find employment in a wide range of workplaces from manufacturing enterprises through research facilities to the company selling medical equipment. The aim of the study program biomechanics and medical devices is to educate professionals who apply both in Biomechanics, as designers of medical apparatuses, replacements of organs, rehabilitation aids and equipment for social pediatrics, as well as members of the service and maintenance of equipment in medical facilities. The formal qualification allows graduates and employment in state administration bodies.
