The Electronics discipline is oriented at the design and practical industrial and biomedical applications of electronic systems, including the advanced fields of nanoelectronics, and nanotechnologies, especially integrated circuits, microsensors, microactuators, wireless transmission of sensor signals, semiconductor structures, lasers, RTD diodes utilizing quantum effects and dots, power electronic devices, design and technological solutions of optical structures, dielectric optical crystals, selected kinds of semiconductors, solution of optical waveguides and devices using these waveguides, new types of optical coupling devices, modulators, switches and planar lasers.
The graduates in this discipline can find jobs in all electronic, optoelectronic and interdisciplinary areas. They obtain specialized expert skills, managing and economical abilities, applicable in project supervision, direction of teams and companies, they are prepared to assume director posts of high-grade projects in companies targeting at the development and application of advanced electronic systems.
