The branch "Solid State Systems" (SSS) of the master study program "Open Electronic Systems" provides a deep theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of electronics and prepares graduates capable to design and implement complex integrated electronic systems. It expects on its input bachelors with a broad theoretical knowledge on which one can easily build professional specialization skills. Solid State Systems are focusing on the field of electronics, optoelectronics, integrated electronic systems, and, in principle, on interaction of electronic systems with physical reality. The graduate of this branch is familiar with the state of the art of science and technology in the field, he knows the principles of operation of emerging devices and he is capable to find and design novel approaches in realization of integrated electronic, optoelectronic, mechatronic, and bioelectronic systems. The branch retains versatility and international openness. In addition to obligatory courses, it allows students to choose a wide variety of different compulsory subjects to build up their individual specialization. Solid State Systems provide graduate?s profile which is required for research teams of multinational companies developing technologically superior products. The branch also provides a strong basis for scientific career in the field.
Graduate of the branch "Solid State Systems" of the master study program "Open Electronic Systems" is capable to design and realize complex integrated electronic systems. Students of this branch will gain a deep insight into the principles of operation of emerging components of contemporary electronics, into the architecture of integrated systems and their design methodology. Graduates of this branch could be mainly employed in research and development centers of high-tech companies where their will use the acquired knowledge for design and implementation of integrated electronic, optoelectronic, mechatronic, and bioelectronic systems. They are also ready to continue in doctoral studies.
