Graduates will receive from the subjects of the theoretical base (mathematics, constructive geometry, physics, chemistry, computer graphics) and preparatory theoretical courses with closer ties with mechanical engineering (mechanics of rigid and deformable bodies and the environment, material science, fluid mechanics and Thermodynamics) at the level of knowledge allowing their practical application in the use of engineering techniques. Acquainted with the methods and means of technical and experimental research tools, as well as a means of controlling machines and processes. Undergo systematic teaching of design from design simple parts to the assembly design simpler machine with all the necessary strength calculations and balance sheets. They will also obtain a solid foundation of technology, as well as the basics of law and knowledge of a foreign language at an intermediate level. Graduates focus energy, will be ready to solve practical problems in the various energy sectors both in terms of production and consumption of electricity, heat and cold. Specifically, the disciplines involved in the design, construction and operation of energy especially machinery and equipment, which includes boilers, turbines, cooling technology, heat pumps, machines for compression and transport of gases, hydraulic machinery and equipment for the utilization of biomass. Graduates will be used in energy plants and industrial enterprises in power for civic amenities and apply both design and technical departments of professional energy organizations. Graduates with a narrower focus on process technology will find application mainly in the chemical, food and consumer (eg. Glass, plastics, ceramics and paper) industry and in companies focused on designing and manufacturing equipment for these industries. Increased knowledge of the process technology will also allow application in wastewater treatment and gas, biotech and processing of renewable energy (biogas and ethanol).
