Theoretical Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering is mainly preparing for further study in master's degree programs at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Prague. Graduates of the study program "Theoretical Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering" obtained from subjects of the theoretical base (mathematics, constructive geometry, physics, chemistry, computer graphics) and preparatory theoretical courses with closer ties with mechanical engineering (mechanics of solids, mechanics of deformable bodies, and thermomechanics, hydromechanics) knowledge to permit their practical application in use and the development of engineering methods. Acquainted with the methods and means of technical and experimental research tools, as well as a means of controlling machines and processes. Undergo systematic teaching of design from design simple parts to the assembly design simpler machine with all the necessary strength calculations and balance sheets. They will also get a solid foundation in the areas of material science and engineering technology, as well as the basics of law and knowledge of a foreign language at least B2. Graduates of the program "Theoretical Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering" is systematically prepared for study in master's degree programs, technical focus. Graduates are able to systematically use the tools and resources theoretical basis to solve complex technical professional applications. Manages an extensive apparatus of mathematics, physics, continuum mechanics as well as being able to solve problems in the field of construction machinery and related material and technological issues. In the bachelor degree also gained a basic knowledge of economics and management of mechanical engineering and the Czech legal system. At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Prague will be the follow-up study program accepted without entrance exams.
